About the Event

Please join us for an afternoon of camraderie and delicious food at the annual Barnard in Washington Potluck Brunch. The brunch will be an informal affair and a great way to reconnect with old Barnard friends and make new ones, meet BIW board members, and come together for fun and friendship.

The potluck will be held at the home of a Barnard alumna in the Cathedral Heights neighorhood in Washington, D.C., (near the National Cathedral).  You will receive the exact address upon registration.

Ways to get there:

  • Driving:      street parking is available.
  • By Bus:       the area is served by many buses, including the 31, 33 and N4 bus.
  • By Metro:  take the metro to the Cleveland Park metro station on the Red Line.  From there it is a beautiful, one-mile walk (approximately twenty minutes) to the home of the alumna who will be hosting the event.

Potluck Menu:  the menu will be vegetarian, but can include salmon, tuna, dairy and eggs.  Please plan to bring a dish that will provide 8 to 10 servings in any of the following categories:  appetizer, main dish, salad (including tuna, egg or fruit salad),  dessert, and drinks.

Trivia-lovers, this is for you!  Learn more about our amazing Greater Washington area alumnae with an icebreaker - Barnard alumnae trivia!  When you RSVP, the registration form will ask you to answer one of the three trivia questions listed below.

This year the theme is the Barnard campus and neighborhood life:

1. What was your senior thesis or favorite project about? 2. What song takes you back to college? 3. When did you recently say, "Wow, I learned about ____ at Barnard!"

An alumna will run the trivia game and will ask folks to use their investigative skills to try to match specific trivia with the correct Barnard alumna.   All shall be revealed by the end of the afternoon!

Please note: This event is only open to Barnard Students and Barnard Alumnae and their Guests

Kindly RSVP by September 8th, 2023 COB and join the fun!
