About the Event

           Please join us on the evening of Monday, April 11th at 7:00pm for a special virtual presentation by Nadine Orenstein, the Drue Heinz Curator of the Department of Drawings and Prints at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.  Nadine graduated from Barnard in 1983 and received her doctorate in art history from the Institute of Fine Arts at New York University in 1992.

            Since receiving her doctorate, Nadine has spent her entire career rising up the curatorial ranks at the Met.  She began as a Study Room curator in the Department of Prints and Illustrated Books and then became Assistant Curator, Associate Curator, and Curator in charge of Netherlandish and German prints and books before 1900.  In 2015, she became the Curator in Charge of the Department of Drawings and Prints.  She has also served on several special curatorial and operations committees at the Met and as…
