Please join us on the evening of November 3rd at 7:00pm for a virtual presentation by Debbie Walsh, the Director of the non-partisan Center for American Women in Politics ("CAWP") at the Rutgers Eagleton Institute of Politics at Rutgers University.  CAWP is the leading source of scholarly research and data regarding the participation of women in United States politics.  Its mission is to study and promote the participation of American women in politics, and to expand the diversity of women in both politics and government.  CAWP also offers numerous educational and outreach programs, including leadership and training programs to empower women to participate in politics, and its newest initiative, Teach a Girl to Lead.

          Ms. Walsh is a frequent media commentator, a member of the Circle of Advisors to Rachel's Network and was named one of the 21 Leaders for the 21st Century by Women's eNews.  Equally important, she is the proud parent of a 2012 Barnard graduate!  During her presentation, we hope to learn about past and current trends relevant to the election of women to local, state and federal offices, and the socioeconomic or other factors that are driving these trends.  Time permitting, there will be a Q&A session after her presentation.
